The type of personal information we collect
We may collect the following information:
- Name
- Contact information including email address or phone contact number
- Demographic information such as address, post code, preferences
- Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers
- Photographs of you taken during your shoot
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- To send you our newsletter if you have requested it via our website
- Internal record keeping as required by law for any business
- To improve our products and services
- To provide the photography you’ve booked and deliver your photos to you
- To promote wo0 photography using photos from your shoot, for example on our website and social media, as set out in our terms and conditions
If you’d rather a photo of you isn’t used to promote the business, just tell us at wo0@wo0.co.uk and we won’t use it.
Data associated with newsletter delivery will be held indefinitely unless you ask us to unsubscribe you. We will review newsletter statistics and remove any subscribers who have not opened a newsletter email within 12 months.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting wo0@wo0.co.uk
(b) We have a contractual obligation.
(c) Our legitimate interests, for example using photos from your shoot to promote the business. You can object to this at any time by contacting wo0@wo0.co.uk
Who we share your information with
We never sell your information. We only share it with the services we use to run the business, and only what they need to do their job:
- MailerLite, to send our newsletter
- Formspree, to receive messages and waitlist sign-ups from our website forms
- Stripe, to take payments
- Shopify, to run our online shop
- Google Analytics, to understand how people use this website (only if you say yes to cookies)
- TidyCal, to book discovery calls
- Our website host, which stores this website
- The online gallery service we use to deliver your photos
We’ll also share information if the law requires us to.
Cookies
We only use one kind of optional cookie: Google Analytics. It tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they came from, so we can make the website better. It does not tell us who you are.
Google Analytics only runs if you choose “Fine by me” on our cookie banner. If you choose “No thanks”, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is remembered on your device so we don’t keep asking.
Google Analytics is provided by Google, and Google may process this data outside the UK. You can read Google’s privacy policy.
Apart from that, our fonts and images are stored on our own website, so simply visiting a page does not send your information to anyone else.
When you choose to use something that is run by another company, that company’s own cookie and privacy policies apply. This includes:
- booking a call (TidyCal)
- paying for something (Stripe)
- signing up to the newsletter (MailerLite)
- sending a contact or waitlist form (Formspree)
- visiting our shop (Shopify)
- following a link to LinkedIn or Instagram
