Speaker

Wendy ‘wo0’ Gannon

Award-winning photographer and fierce advocate for female empowerment.

I’m not your conventional, perfectly polished, run-of-the-mill speaker. I’m real life, real experiences, real talk. I’m funny, I have amazing energy, and I talk about the crap along with the good, and how it’s navigated.

Solo, on a panel (I can even keep the other panellists under control), or hosting the whole thing.

Speaking topics

What I talk about

Neurodiversity

I speak openly about my lived experience as a late-diagnosed woman with ADHD, in an honest, strong and empathetic way. I bring humour and connection to difficult conversations.

Male-to-female abuse

I founded the Female Five Million (FFM) movement, which highlights the voices of survivors of male-to-female abuse. I talk about domestic abuse, how the movement started, and why it matters.

Female empowerment

I truly believe everyone is beautiful. I talk about my own experiences with body dysmorphia and self-hate, and why so many women feel this way.

Hosting

I want to host your event

I’ll complement your speakers. I’ll be the perfect contrast. I’ll be me. And let’s be honest, I’m bloody amazing!

Conferences, awards, launches, panels, networking nights. I’ll keep the energy up, keep things on time, and make sure your speakers shine.

And here’s the bit nobody else can offer: I can take photos of your speakers between hosting. One booking, a host and a photographer. What’s not to love?!

About me

Hi, I’m Wendy

But most people call me wo0. I’m an award-winning personal branding photographer and strategist based in Kent, best known for my personality-led approach: helping entrepreneurs and founders (particularly women) build authority and visibility through strategic imagery.

I have ADHD and I’m unapologetically myself (and hilarious). I’m chaotic, I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I’m open about my lived experience.

Where I’ve spoken

I’ve spoken on big stages, on panels and in intimate rooms, including:

  • Accountex
  • The Recruitment Agency Expo
  • The Self Expression Sessions
  • Women in Finance event

And many, many podcasts.

“There’s a warmth to Wendy that puts people at ease, even when she’s talking about really difficult things. You come away from hearing her speak feeling moved, understood, and a little bit stronger. She’s brave, kind, and the kind of person who makes a lasting impact without even trying to.”
Katy Longhurst
“Wendy was an absolute pleasure to have as a speaker at our International Women’s Day event! She brought honesty, humour and a huge amount of authenticity to the conversation around neurodiversity, masking and burnout. She shared her experiences openly and gave the audience practical things to think about and take away. The feedback from attendees was fantastic, with many people commenting on how relatable and refreshing Wendy is!”
Kayleigh Graham · Telleroo
